What is Most Important to You?

“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.” ~Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Stop what you are doing and ask yourself, what is the most important thing in your life? Assume you say “your family”. Then ask yourself, what is the one thing you can do today (or if possible now!) to really express this feeling you have for the family? My daughter is leaving for University on Thursday. I leave town on Sept 6 for six weeks. My parents return home on Sept 1. My son starts school on Sept 7. We are a family on the move! It is evident to me that I need to be loving, expressive and patient with my family when I am with them.

Sometimes in the business of life, we overlook what is most dear to us.

Saying “I love you” to our most near and dear ones can be done every day and in every way. Your demeanor and body language reveals how much you care.

I plan to reflect “I love you” in thought, speech, body and in all the things I do with my family today!

How about you? Have you told your loved ones how much you care?
