Valuing Time

Many small interruptions come to all of us. It is tempting to handle them because they are small and sometimes easy. However, a big chunk of your productivity gets destroyed in the process.

What is the solution? Allow a specific time during the day when people can interrupt you. During that time you can also be available by phone and you can respond to your emails too. By so doing you carve out enough uninterrupted time to complete your priorities.

If you are worried about dropping something important in the process think what would happen to the interruptions when you are in a meeting with a client? The interruption waits.

Usually if you attend to all your requests the same day, you are fine. Also, by sheltering you get to choose who you want to respond to right away.

Time is the most precious commodity we all have. Time is our life!
