Transparency

Transparency has become necessary as teams at work seek the truth. Transparency eliminates the unknowns and brings clarity to where the company is heading and what challenges it is going through.

In some situations being  transparent makes you vulnerable because you allow yourself to become ‘naked’. However, it leads discussions to the next level and to subsequent breakthroughs.

Hiding things may seem useful in the initial stages of a negotiation but at some point you need to become transparent to gain trust and credibility.

If you are authentic and have valuable experiences to share there is no reason to hide.
