Sufis encourage us to dare to climb the spiritual ladder. If we don’t push ourselves, how will we ever know our capabilities? Would the bird ever fly if it feared unbounded skies? Would we ever see a beautiful child if mothers were not courageous in facing the pain of childbirth?
The Sufis are not afraid of falling. they know that the more we fall down, the more stronger we become. The scars strengthen and tone our muscles, making us capable of facing bigger challenges. The greater the risk for failure, the greater the potential for success.
The ocean is vast and often frightening. A pond is small and manageable. Yes, the ocean is scary, but the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. if we always remain in our comfort zone, we will often settle for the mediocre.
To reap some of those riches, we need to be willing to take the plunge. If not, how will we experience the real joy of swimming, – searching for the truth and enjoying the growth?
To know God, we must be comfortable with the unknown. Similarly, worthwhile ventures entail dwelling in the unknown and having faith that they can be done. What can we lose by diving in. Without faith, our history would be dull.
If we want to make real progress, we need to find a cause that excites us, a cause we feel we can die for, a cause in which we can wager ourselves with confidence and dive in wholeheartedly. When we work towards our purpose without getting bogged down by challenges or obstacles, we create unstoppable momentum,
People who achieve greatness do so because they are willing to take risks for a cause they believe in. Ultimately safety and comfort zones are illusionary securities that give us false protection
