No excuses

If you have aging parents, serve them well. They cannot be around forever. Even though it may have been a long time ago, they did a lot for you. If you have children, you know how much energy, time and resources it takes to bring them up.

You may find it harder and harder to find time to spend time with aged parents. However, if you have the will, you will be able to carve out some valuable time for them.

I have a friend and client who is the CEO of a large successful company. He is a very busy man. However, every morning during a half hour drive to work he spends 15 minutes praying, and 15 minutes speaking to his parents (via speaker phone). Every workday, 15 minutes, first thing in the morning, started with a chat with his parents who live out of town. If he can do it, many of us can too!
