I had to present the lifetime achievement sports award today within my community. The amazing thing that struck me about the recipient was that he never expected the award. He played the sport with vigor, commitment and joy!
When you do things with discipline and joy, you create a lasting legacy. When you chase awards, they either elude you or do not mean much to you. Therefore, forget recognition, instead go for joy, love and creating a positive difference.
If you are not recognized it will not matter to you. However, if you do get recognized, you will be pleasantly surprised.
