In a world where many demands come at you from many directions, deciding what to do first can be complicated.
What is the first thing first in your work?
What is the first thing first in your family?
What is the first thing first in your health?
What is the first thing first in your finances?
What is the first thing first in your lifelong learning?
What is your first thing first in your spirituality?
The responses to the above questions are not straight forward. Also, after you
answer them the next question arises which of the first thing from the six areas
mentioned above will you do first?
Today I decided to visit my Dad first thing in the morning. I spent 90 minutes or so with him and found that time to be extremely valuable from the following perspective:
– I actually slowed down to the point where I felt the clock had stopped and moments seemed like an eternity.
– Spending quality time with him is the least I can do given that he has been my mentor and inspiration and done so much for the family and for me personally
– My energy level after I left him has been so high that I am getting far more work done in a relatively short time.
When you figure out what is first thing first for you, magic starts to happen.
