Most people do average work and sometimes good work. Average work can easily be replaced by many other average service providers. Good work can also be replicated by other good service providers, especially in a competitive market.
What is harder to replace is service providers who have a habit of doing something extra. These breed of extraordinary people have a habit of always doing a little extra in terms of building rapport, trust, and connection which goes a long way. They do not stop there they do a little more when they make promises. If they promise to complete something by the 15th of the month they are done by the 13th of the month. If they promised to deliver x after sale services they deliver x plus y after sale services.
Extraordinary people by giving more value than they are paid for enhancing their value in the eyes of their customers and build a strong sense of trust, foundation, and connection which is much harder to dispense with.
How about you – what kind of service provider are you – average, good or extraordinary?
