Cease to worry about getting credit. Instead focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and impact and you will end up doing your best work leading to sustained success and fulfillment.
You may be bypassed on getting a promotion because you have not been political, however, your impact and thus your fulfillment will be far greater. This outlook and attitude will attract in your life the right opportunities which will lead to far greater rewards and satisfaction.
In the short run, being political and wanting credit may bring you promotion and recognition, however, in the long run, you will be overtaken by someone who focuses on impact and effectiveness.
