Our first teacher

Little girl is playing on green meadow and examining field flowers using magnifying glass

Man is not himself only…He is all that he sees; all that flows to him from a thousand sources…He is the land, the lift of its mountain lines, the reach of its valleys.  Mary Austin

Nature in all her unending splendor has been our first and last teacher. If you look deep enough, you can sense wisdom in a blade of grass, the whiff of spring blossoms, the buzzing of bees, the call of cuckoo signaling summer.

When you observe a tree, you will notice the leaves dancing with the wind. It is totally in the moment glorifying nature. The flowers bloom in silence, the day and night comes and goes in silence.

Nature is always present in the moment. It is in a state of acceptance not defensive. Silence and presence are evident in nature.

Mankind, on the other hand, is anxious and noisy and running from what is. Once you learn to be silent, accepting and connected, you will find peace and tranquility and the answers you seek.
