The Value of Feedback

Be open to feedback, even if it seems negative. Feedback from others will highlight something about you that you may not have known. Don’t take the feedback personally if it is negative, but look at it as a way of improving what you do. If each time you look at feedback objectively, and then make some improvement, you are bound to excel.

Though the source of feedback is important, the value of most feedback stems from the fact that it allows you to see yourself from another’s point of view.

If, on the other hand, the feedback recommends that you to change your principles and values, then this is a different matter. You do not want to compromise your principles–which are your anchor. Other than this, your open-mindedness will reap you rewards aplenty.
