Time is Life!

How you manage your time is how you manage your life.

Here are three practical ways to manage your time:

1. The first step to this system is to understand your purpose. What is the purpose of your work? What is your role in your progress toward your journey? How is your performance being measured? Once you have clarity, the next step is to spend your time around the most important things you need to do to achieve your goals.

The more you involve yourself in activities that carry the greatest meaning and value for you, the greater are your chances for experiencing real growth.

If you have too many priorities, you have no priorities!

2. Being organized and methodical will enable you to manage time with maximum efficiency. The following will aid your journey:

• Do the most important work first thing in the morning – as the first hour goes, so goes the day!

• Avoid too many interruptions. Some interruptions are necessary for doing business but you also need to carve out some non –interrupted time to get your important work done

• Delegate effectively. Be clear in your instructions when you delegate.

• Write down your goals every morning. Writing brings clarity and clarity helps focus. By writing your goals each morning you become very clear of where your focus should be.

3. Prepare a budget of how you want to spend your time.

Keep track of where you time goes; it will help you understand and manage your time well. What gets measured gets improved as the old saying goes. In your weekly measurement look at the quantitative aspects of time spent as well as the qualitative aspects.
