I took my Mom for a four or five hour ferry ride today – it was a spontaneous decision.
Usually to plan such a thing is difficult given we all live busy lives. Sometimes you have to make the call and do things. They may not always work out perfectly. However, if you wait for the perfect moment to do things, chances are you will not do much in life.
Life presents some moments that you must capture. If they come from sincerity and do little harm, then you take them.
In the end I was very happy to have made that choice.
