Seeking Validation

If you are seeking external validation, you will spend your whole life doing so. The more validation you receive, the less it will appear.
In reality, external validation is not what you want. What you really want is internal validation – the knowledge deep down that you are a good person – authentic, service-oriented, fair and an honest person! When you have this internal validation and faith, then external reactions, positive or negative, will not have too much impact on you. You will continue your good work creating a positive impact on people who cross your  path. You will put all your energy into being a force for good whether someone recognizes you or not – your joy will come not from recognition, but from impact.
This may sound simple and obvious but surprisingly very few people practice this! As the late Jim Rohn would say: what is simple to do, is also simple not to do!
