We hear a lot about “outside the box” thinking. The first step toward this type of thinking is openness.
If you are fixed on your viewpoint and on your ideas, you may only be paying ‘lip service’ to this concept and not truly putting it to use. However, if you are ready to let the discussion be taken outside your comfort zone, and even to decisions that do not match your earlier analysis, you may create a breakthrough or be taken to an outcome you never thought possible before.
Ask yourself:
Are you open to other viewpoints or want to be the “know it all” person?
Do you want to take your game or business to the next level?
Do you want to work on your core strengths, and let others on your team contribute their core strengths, or do you want to be ‘jack of all trades’?
