Once you have determined what success looks like, whether for the day, week, month or quarter, you need to schedule activities that will lead you to achieve the success.

No action, no results. No scheduling of activities leading to your goals, no results.

There should be room for allowing some flex time to deal with any unplanned golden opportunities, or even unplanned mishaps or extenuating circumstances. These should not interfere with your scheduling because you have allowed for some flexibility.
