I was speaking at a Business School in Dubai today to a group who were studying entrepreneurship and were getting ready to enter the real world.
I asked them: what were their challenges and anticipated future challenges? They responded with the following:
– competition
– opportunities
– resources
– discrimination
– how to differentiate
– confidence
We then discussed the following:
1. What can you do to outsmart the competition?
2. How can you be prepared so that when the opportunity comes, you are ready?
3. Are you resourceful enough to make your resources work for you?
If you are very good, people will have no choice but to accept or lose you to their competition.
Be authentic and know yourself well, then differentiation will be natural. If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will!
