Paradigm Shift

I was feeling a bit dejected when my son told me that his Vancouver soccer team lost against Ontario 5-3 in the semi-finals and that he did not play well.

However, when I started to reflect back I realized that at one point he was not going to make the Vancouver adult “B” team given that he is only 16.  He ended up playing for the “A” team and played really well until the quarter finals.  If you had told me that he would get this far I would have taken it hands down.  Once I took this approach to looking at this situation, I started to feel much better.

We all have a choice what we focus on; if you focus on the negative,  you will feel negative.

If you focus on the positive, you will feel positive.
