Life is short!

One sudden moment and your whole life can become topsy-turvy. My aunt passed away two years ago today while having a cup of tea with my uncle (her husband) and after a day celebrating with the entire family being completely healthy.

We have heard of the proverb “There is many a slip between the cup and the lip.”
This came literally true as she could not finish her cup of tea! The good part was that she had spent her life serving the community in her own right and supporting my uncle in his amazing service. At the end of the day we don’t take what we have, but what we gave. She gave a lot, especially of herself!

The Sufis say that you can plan for a hundred years but you do not know what will happen the next second. You do not want to postpone your spiritual life as we do not know when we are called back to our origin. On the other hand we want to plan for a worldly life long enough so if we live longer we are prepared for that too.

Every day ask yourself if this was the only day I am going to live what kind of day will I have? Or if today was the only day that counts for my success in all walks of life, how is my day going to be?

You can procrastinate unimportant things but do not procrastinate forgiveness, gratitude, service, kindness and love!
