Putting family first

Most people think they put family first or want to put family first.

Those who think they put family first need to be objective and require some kind of tangible and intangible assessment. Ask yourself: in the previous week out of the 168 hours in the week, how much time did I spend with my family? How much of that time was qualitative and how much of that time was quantitative?

Those who want to put family first need to know that this does not happen accidentally. Define what it means to put family first. Involve your family members in agreeing what putting family first means. Next, evaluate on a weekly basis your actions, behaviour and time (quantitative and qualitative) to determine your performance.

The above discipline will enhance your success.
