Effective Execution!

In a world with a lot to do, making the right choices is important. Here are three choices we often face when deciding how to execute:

-Get cracking and attack each task one at a time and see where you end up
-Throw in the towel
-Plan your execution around key priority areas, effective delegation, elimination, and procrastination!

The last option is quite clearly the best choice.

Begin by looking at priorities in terms of importance, not urgency. Identify the things that are most important, and prioritize accordingly.

Then, delegate as much as you can to your team. With what is left, eliminate those items that have no consequences. And instill a slow and can wait procrastination method on items that have very little consequence.

Having done the above, you are now able to execute what is left on your plate in order of priority.

With this approach, you are able to work with fewer items, but which have the highest impact. You will also be able to use your team effectively by empowering them with achievable tasks. Finally, you will eliminate items that have the minimum or no consequences. This, in my experience, is the most efficient and effective approach to fruitful execution!
