For the last couple of weeks my dad had been in hospital because he had a fracture in his shoulder and hip. I went to visit him often while he was there. I was amazed at the type and amount of work the nurses did on a regular basis. I was blown away!
They needed to be committed and ready for every twist and turn. There were patients who could not speak English, some that were totally immobile and others that were very demanding. In these circumstances, it is difficult to be upbeat and positive, but they managed to be caring and compassionate for the most part. Bravo!
We take for granted and fail to appreciate the so many people who play a positive part in our lives.
