Not so Simple

When you experience something simple and profound – be it in a speech, a conversation, a blog or a tweet, be rest assured that the message has been well thought-out and crafted with a lot of effort.

When things look effortless, it is because a lot of endeavor went into it.

Sometime back when Brian Tracy and I were on our speaking tour we were invited to do a radio interview where we shared a ride. On our way back to the hotel I was asking him some questions about my favourite author Og Mandino who I had never met, but with whom Brian had spoken several times. I asked him to share an anecdote with me about him. He said one day Og and he was chatting and Brian asked Og how he managed to keep his books so easy to read. Og replied, “My books are so easy to read because they are so hard to write!”.

Thus, don’t be fooled by ‘simple’. It takes a lot of energy and discipline to keep things simple.
