On Japan

The tsunami in Japan has been devastating. We can all pray for the victims and offer as much support as we can give in whatever form.

The lesson for all of us is that these disasters can happen to any of us at anytime. We cannot predict when. The Sufis say that you can plan for a 100 years, but you do not know what will happen the next second.

We can prepare for responses to natural and man-made disasters and live life fully daily. Say: I love you, I miss you, Please forgive me, I forgive you, thank you, sorry often – these statements are free, yet can be priceless!

Why don’t we do this often?
