The first step to lasting happiness is to discover yourself. If you don’t know what happiness means, why you want what you want and how you want to lead your life, lasting happiness will be a far cry.
The second step is to maintain positive attitudes. Happiness is not a set of circumstances; it is a set of attitudes. When you count your blessings, your blessings multiply. When you count your sorrows, your sorrows multiply.
The third step is to hone your life skills. These include enhancing your leadership skills, living a balanced life and working with pride.
The fourth step is to build healthy relationships. When you have good relationships with others, life and work becomes easier.
The fifth step is to let ethics and values be your guide. Ethics and principles are the ground on which you stand. If the ground is weak, the rest is lacking foundation.
The sixth step is to awaken your spirituality. When you are not connected to your spirit, you are missing the spark and are not inspired.
The seventh and final step is to enjoy the ride. Happiness is not a destination, it is a journey!
