Begin and Sustain

If you are struggling with starting something like a new exercise routine, take a “do it right away” approach. As soon as the thought comes to you that you need to exercise more often, instead of taking 15 to 20 minutes planning how you will exercise, go for a 15 to 20 minute brisk walk right away. When you begin something, you set the wheels in motion.

Don’t try to start an Olympic exercise regiment, you are far more likely to succeed by taking a slow and steady approach, especially if you are a beginner. The key is to sustain what you start. Consistency leading to a new habit will become the key to your success.
