How relevant are you today?
Do your children find you relevant?
Are you relevant to your Business? Profession? Family? Volunteer work?
If you are like most people you will find that you are relevant in some areas but not in all areas.
The reality remains that your effectiveness in any endeavour will be determined by not just your deep knowledge but by how relevant your contribution is.
To enhance our relevance we need to be current in our knowledge of our area of endeavour and of the world. Also, more importantly, we need to have a deep understanding of the people we are engaging with – be it our children, staff, volunteer team or client.
If something is not relevant to someone be it a child, colleague or volunteer then why do we expect them to pay attention?
