When someone else is competing for your client you feel like saying “Stay away from my client” or “How dare you” or “Is he bribing someone?”. These statements come from a scarcity mentality and judgment.

How about looking at it from the perspective that you cannot possibly serve all of any client’s needs? Client needs are multifaceted and they will require all sorts of help. Also, competition makes you be on your toes and makes you get better.

There is no business without competitors and your business is no different. Others have to support their families just like you have to support yours. There is enough work for everyone. So stop being greedy and instead create a bigger pie so there is enough for all.
