The moment!

Every single day is a gift of life given to us. Every moment is precious. The air we breathe, the sunrise and sunset we witness, the children we love.

But the habit of living in the past or future robs us of living today and living in the moment. The mind wants importance and is constantly taking us away from the present moment.

Worrying about what others think also robs us of being in the moment. If you sing as if no one is listening, you will sing at your best being totally in the moment. However, the consciousness of others watching you takes you away from your authenticity.

Yes, we all have goals, however, the only certainty is the goal at the moment. We all want to get to the destination but the real destination is this moment.

John Dryden sums it up well:
“Happy the man, and happy he alone,
He who can call today his own:
He who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today….”
