Paradigms and Synergy

Ethnically diverse group of businessmen and a businesswoman having an enjoyable meeting together. Horizontal shot.

Everyone has a certain paradigm through which they view the world. Their paradigm will more likely be different from yours. It may even be frustrating for you to see how different it is. By the same token, the other person sees your paradigm in the same light – so different from hers or his.

Does this mean, if, given the choice, you do not work with these people? Far from it! Diversity is a strength, not a weakness. Differences are a starting point of synergy and lead to creativity. No differences, no Synergy! Synergy means the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.

The key is to have a common goal, respect, and integrity. If you have a common goal, trust between each other, and mutual respect – most differences can be transformed into positive traits.

Synergy also helps with scaling and multiplying your business by collaborating with people or organizations who can complement your services. So, having people or organizations with different skill sets and different paradigms is not a sign to run, but moreover an invitation to find synergy for growth!
