Being safe can be risky

You take on something very big and get cracking without much thought of how difficult it might be. Mid way you say to yourself: Had I known how complex this would have been, I would not have tackled it. Yet, you find yourself more than half way done just because you had the guts to jump.

It is like going into a cold swimming pool. If you take a plunge after a minute of shivering you have already conquered the chill. Whereas if you put your toe in the cold pool you will find yourself in the safety of the hot tub.

As Sa’adi of Shiraz said, “Deep in the sea are riches beyond compare. But, if you seek safety, it is on the shore.”
