Maintain unwavering good habits

As we begin a new year, there are a few things we can do to start it strong!

And one of the first steps towards cultivating strength and resilience in your life is to build a set of good habits you can rely on. Ones that are unwavering, be it good times or bad.

Focusing on healthy routines can enhance your productivity when you are on a roll and give you a sense of stability when you are experiencing turmoil.

One idea is to practice the “Hour of Power,” which includes 20 minutes of exercise, 20 minutes of meditation, and 20 minutes of reading something uplifting every single day.

If you do not feel like you have an hour to spare every day, aim to go to bed an hour earlier the night before and wake up one hour earlier in the morning.

The last hour before bed is rarely productive or worth staying up for, whereas the first hour in the morning is the perfect opportunity to start your day in a way that supercharges your life.

My friend Robin Sharma elaborates on this point in detail in his wonderful book, The 5 AM Club. If you practice consistent habits such as the “Hour of Power” daily, you will build the foundation for a healthy routine that will stick with you in good times and bad.
