Roadmap to a Wow Life!

First – Craft a Wow statement you would want to articulate to either your creator when you report back or to your loved ones so that they may share it when speaking about your life.

Second – Define your short, medium, and long-term goals by aligning them to your Wow statement.

Third – Execute and consistently evaluate your life based on your goals as defined above.

Being Authentic!

When you come from a place of authenticity there is power around you!

A lot of people fear being authentic because maybe they won’t be liked or accepted. If someone is going to like you because you are living a lie, then sooner or later the truth will reveal itself and their liking for you will be short lived. Thus. you will attract people in your life who you really do not want to associate with.

If you want your success to be sustainable; if you want your success to have a strong foundation; if you want your success to have a purpose and meaning, then there is no other way but to be authentic.

As Steve Jobs aptly said:
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice……”

When you are authentic, there is a twinkle in your eye and something magnetic around your aura that reflects power!

Simple Ideas!

Please take a moment to vote for Maziwa to win the Common Bond Award:

Children’s health in many developing economies is compromised because women are forced to join the workforce within months of giving birth which means children are deprived of their mother’s milk. Mothers’ milk is not only nature’s best food for babies, but also has a significant impact on their mental and physical development in adult life.

Often it’s the simple ideas that carry the most meaning and impact. My daughter, Sahar, is pitching the idea of an affordable breast pump for low-income markets that can have an exponential impact on maternal and newborn health. An idea like this could not only transform the lives of millions of children but also empower women to make better choices for their families. Empowered mothers mean empowered communities. This idea is one of 8 semi-finalists for the Common Bond Social Impact Award – the top 3 videos with the most votes will move into the finals to win a financial award towards developing the idea further. All votes need to be in before November 4th. I will be very grateful if you take 2 minutes to vote by clicking the button below or clicking on the following link: https://woobox.com/txa4m9/gallery/wMeAxQSHXL4

Where to begin?

Everywhere you look you are confronted with so many issues human beings are facing. You want to help but find it overwhelming; you feel your help may only be just a drop in the ocean!

What to do and where to begin? There is no one answer, but one thing you don’t do is nothing!

You start by making a difference with your family, neighbourhood and your community. Perhaps you are already involved in some charity work where you can put more energy.

To impact the world we need to start first in our own backyards, beginning with our family and then extending our reach to causes we are involved within our neighbourhood and our communities.

Big Rock

We all have many challenges. However, there is usually one major challenge that impacts everything else. I call this the ‘Big Rock’! Think of a rock almost the size of a car.

One can often find a way to remove all the pebbles, but the Big Rock remains. This impacts your ability to unleash your power!

The reason most people do not remove the big rock is because:

– they don’t know what the Big Rock actually is or

– those who do know what the big rock is do not put enough concentrated effort to remove it.

How about you? Do you know what your Big Rock is? If you do, are you putting enough energy towards eliminating it? Are you seeking the help you need to remove it? If not, why not?

Being on Top

Being on top of things makes you feel calm. When you slip up and are back peddling you feel in disarray.

What then is the best way to always be on top?

Eliminate unnecessary activities, delegate effectively then execute efficiently!

There are a lot of things we do which need not be done. They add very little value to our overall goals. Eliminate them!

After eliminating unnecessary activities, delegate things on your plate that you can delegate to someone junior in your team. This will allow you to focus on the few very important to do’s – things that only you can do.

Then what is left on your plate execute promptly.

Your most productive day!

Have you truly observed your most productive day? What did it encompass? Can you fully re-live it every day or on most days? Or, at the least, are you able to replicate parts of what worked well that day?

The reality is that many of us do not know which day has been our most productive. And the few who do know have not closely observed what it is about the day that made it the most productive. This lack of examination makes such days difficult to replicate.

Now imagine you knew what is it that made your day the most productive. You can use the results of this observation to intelligently design more days like your best, or at least replicate parts of it on a daily basis. This small, but important attention detail, can significantly enhance your productivity!

By the way, quick tip – your most productive day is usually the day before you take off on your holiday! On this day, you have a sense of urgency; a tempo; a spring in your step, and you make decisions promptly!
